Francesco Giovine graduated with honors from the University of Florence, Faculty of Architecture in 1993, where he also was Assistant Professor in Architectural Design at California State University, a branch of University of Florence.

After a working experience in Los Angeles Francesco worked with the Prada Group from 1997 to 2001. During this time he was Project Manager and responsible for the design and construction of offices, factories and outlets – with particular attention to the structures of steel and glass facade for one of the most famous high fashion brands in the world.

In 2002, he began his experience in the building industry, where he served as Technical Director at Promo, a company active in the construction field. Promo specialized in designing facades of many buildings and light casings. He was also responsible for all aspects of order management, production control and assembly. From 2004 up to 2009 Francesco was Sales Manager (UK + USA) for Frener & Reifer, reality ‘world leader in steel and glass high-tech building enclosures. From 2009 Francesco served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Kaser, another company in the industry. His tasks have always included providing technical expertise to design firms or contractors, and he has maintained strong relations with academic institutions and research centers.

In 2008 Francesco was appointed Italian member of the European Commission for Standardization (CEN) to prepare and harmonize European standards of facades. He was Professor from 2006 to 2009 at the University of Brescia, Engineering, and from 2010 Professor at the Polytechnic of Milan, Faculty of Architecture – BEST Department, where he teaches technology facade components. Since 2012 he also holds a teaching position at the University of Innsbruck, Faculty of Civil Engineering Sciences as a Visiting Professor, he teaches issues related to the construction of buildings of glass.

He is a member of the Working Group on the facades of the Tis of Bolzano, he writes for leading magazines and participated, as a speaker, in numerous meetings and conferences.

Francesco Giovine has earned a reputation for his extensive professional knowledge related to the use of innovative materials used in advanced technological applications for the building envelope, as well as technical and manufacturing aspects, and management of manufactured metal and glass in the industry.
